Just read several articles regarding Jeff Ellis and Associates and their firing of a life guard who saved a drowning man outside the life guards "zone". I sincerely hope that someday, a family member of Jeff Ellis et al is drwoning outside the "zone" and a life guard refuses to save them for fear of loss of job. Bravo Jeff!! You are the epitome of bureacratic insanity that places the lack of comon sense over the precious value of a human's life.

This company has no right at all to be in business to provide services to protect people. Their policy to fire an employee for doing what he is hired for is simply Insanity. This man was dying and this company doesn't care, because he was not in the area of being protected. I hope this company will get all what they deserve in the weeks and months ahead!

There is no way I could ever recommend this company. They fire their employees for doing what they are trained to do - save lives???

Hopefully the city contract they have will be cancelled and a more worthy company assigned to really protect the public. The insurance company should run the waterfront....you hired a lifeguard to protect and you hired some good ones....oh you fired them did you. These young men would be great candidates for the armed forces, when they finish college. Fred Worth Vietnam Veteran, 5th Special Forces (ABN) 252-327-1343

Yeah, Jeff Ellis and Associates just fired a lifeguard for saving a drowning man, then fired a bunch of other lifeguards for saying the same thing. This guy is the Adolph Hitler of lifeguarding.

THUMBS DOWN! This is the company that fired a lifeguard for going to the aid of a drowning swimmer on a Florida beach, because the lifeguard left his zone of responsibility. It seems that the company does not put LIVES AND SAFETY FIRST! Just because a swimmer is outside of the area you are being paid to protect, does not mean that your do not have a moral obligation to render assistance!

It is a terrible thing that we allow companies to exist like this one that places pennies in their pockets ahead of human life. How deplorable. No one in their right mind should ever consider doing business with such animals as Jeff Ellis and his savages !!

No I did not have a good experience with this business. You put rules and regulations ahead of life. I will do all I can online to pass the word of the firing of that lifeguard. Shame on your organization.

Such stupidity is just mind boggling!! firing someone for doing the right thing!! A life is far more precious than liabilities as this company claims. I am so sickened by this-- this lifeguard is a hero and this company does not deserve to be in business!!!!!
