Mr. Donald Day II, Why are you doing this to us? What did we do wrong? We have been waiting for this house for more than three years. When we signed the contract 01-03-2018, I was 2 months pregnant. I believed you when you have promised us that you will build a house in a year, as it was stated in the contract you signed. On 5-8-2019, we asked you to terminate the contract and return our earnest money deposit and money invested by us in materials and labor provided by us, since we already had 6 children and the construction of the house has not yet begun. Every time I asked you what's going on you said you will do something tomorrow but you did not do it every single time. You left us no choice and we signed new papers, then you started construction on 9-30-2019 and to this day we can not go into the house because it is not finished. On the papers signed by you we agreed that we will do some finishing work ourselves. We have spent a lot of money on the house, denying many things for ourselves and our children. We waited a long time until you connect the HVAC we asked you about it and at the moment you finally connected HVAC on 2-22-2021 you gave us 45 days to complete our work or get fined every day. We started our work but on 3-24-2021 you called the police and kicked us out of the house while we were working on it. Then you started to ignore us altogether. Our question for you is: Why?? -Maybe you think you can get away with this, because we are first generation immigrants and cannot speak fluent English as well as you are? -Maybe you think that you are invincible no matter what you do because everyone in town knows and respects your father and your family, including local lawyers and officials? -Or maybe you think that your lawyers and people you know in this county will help you out even when you, by your deliberate actions and inaction, are taking life savings from the family of eight, forcing them to live in their parents basement for over three years and counting? Whatever the answer might be, we want to let you know that we firmly believe that the truth and God is on our side, and we will not back down, even if we have to knock on every door of every official in the county and state government, and spreading the truth on every available resource, be it online reviews, throughout our communities, on social media platforms and even on local and national news media. If necessary, we will raise funds to employ lawyers that can get the job done, no matter what it takes. We stand for truth and I believe this great country still does as well.
