Once I immediately noticed there was mold on the front gasket, he replaced it right away, but the mold smell would not go away. After months of cleaning it with every product on the market, including running bleach cycles, I could not get this small smell to go away, even though the gasket and drum were pristine and always kept dry, with the door open. I finally got so frustrated that I took apart the entire washer by hand to find that the plastic drum housing assembly was completely eaten by black mold. The tube running from the soap dispenser down to the drum was filled with black mold and rust. This man knew that I am a single mom and just needed a reliable washer when mine went out, and he took advantage of a quick sale.
