been meaning to write this review for awhile, stayed there some time ago but I don't want to give details as I'd like to remain anonymous. the other review says it all. the owner gaya erlandson will make you feel welcome but then the tables will turn. no respect for boundaries at all. treats you like a criminal for doing normal things in your own space. she needs to know where you go, who you with, every detail of your life and you must cooperate. too much anxiety. warning.

I'd caution anyone looking for a short-term rental to think twice before staying. I didn't listen to the two women who rented before me, and learned the hard way, that the host (owner) is very challenging to stay with. As one woman put it, "there will be a honeymoon period where the owner does everything to make you feel welcome and special and when she knows she's mesmerized you, it'll be hell." She nailed it. In short, I'd sum it up as "micromanaging, intrusive, zero-boundaries" and privacy is not respected by the owner. To be clear, the other tenants were all great. Thankfully, the temporary experience introduced me to a beautiful area of NC which I now consider home.
