My advice -save your money and purchase a new appliance, or call someone else. This business is run by an older couple. I wanted to support them because they are a local business in a small town...and seemingly a nice older couple. Well, IMHO this guy is just scamming for the service call money. I have had him out twice...both times telling him in advance exactly what part was bad, and asking whether he could repair....and at a reasonable cost. Both times, the answer was yes. But, when he gets here....the story changes to ....oh, well, its gonna cost more to repair it (or nearly so), so you may as well replace it. Then, he charges over $100 for a service call. I think it is time for this guy to retire. terrible...just terrible.
