Norman Designs Inc By Kim Norman Designs has been Sarasota, Florida's exclusive manufacturer of custom area rugs and wall to wall designed carpeting since 1978. Our quest for quality of craftsmanship and originality of design has enabled us to develop a loyal clientele of nationally recognized designers, flooring stores, custom builders, up-scale furniture stores and area rug stores. We work closely with each customer to provide the best product to cover every aspect of the client’s needs and personality. Norman Designs, Inc. by Kim takes carpeting to a higher level by creating custom designed rugs and custom designed carpeting exclusively for your taste and your decor. Custom is a great alternative to Persian or Oriental rugs. Our masterpieces are not only used in area rugs but cover entire homes wall to wall. We also fabricate custom designed carpeting and rugs for stairways, wall hangings, yachts, planes, businesses and tradeshows. Many condos and hotels have our work as show pieces in their lobbies. In addition to design services and custom rug and custom carpet fabrication, we pride ourselves in providing the best craftsmanship in sculpting, embossing, tapestry borders, custom wool tufted rugs, surging and fringing. We can also serve you with Oriental rug repairs, modification in Oriental rug sizes, wall hangings, custom stairways, wide binding, leather bindings, cording inset, woven wool patterns and borders, shags and mixed textures. We are specialists in free form area rugs. Every rug is created by hand. Custom designed area rugs and custom designed wall to wall carpeting create a unique ambiance unavailable in "cookie cutter" rugs and broadloom. Each carpet we produce is your personal design. Let your imagination run wild as you view our photo galleries and visualize how you could make your home different and exciting with a custom designed rug or broadloom carpeting. Custom need not be difficult. Just pick up the phone or e-mail Kim to get started. We make it easy for you. Our showroom has thousands of samples, textures, styles, qualities and an infinite range of color. Our art library is an unlimited source of inspiration for designing your custom rug or custom designed carpeting. In-home consulting is available for the local area. We work with many out of area clients through e-mail and snail mail viewing of photos of your home, basic measurements and your color swatches.
