This began a 6 year nightmare. The list of what went wrong is enough to compile into a book. The last drama occurred in the summer of 2011. During a rainstorm my husband and I noticed a stream of water running down our living room wall. The one smart thing we did when buying our home was purchasing the extended warranty insurance. My husband called Billy Loud and told him what was going on. He sent a claims person out to evaluate the situation. Loud called and told my husband it was hail damage. We contacted our State Farm home insurance agent and they sent someone out. He said it was a manufacture problem. Mu husband called Loud and he said "Mr. Kendrick WE WILL NOT BE REPLACING YOU ROOF". My husband said "I think you will and I better bet off the phone before I say something I shouldn't". Loud followed up with sending us elaborate drawings showing how this wasn't Clayton's problem and a <$400 check to try to shut us up. We contacted an independent contractor and he said it was a manufacturer defect. Loud sent another adjuster out and thank GOD it rained while he was there and he got to see the water first hand. He said it looked like a bunch of drunks put our roof on. We have been through sleepless nights over your products. Two summers in a row we went several days without air conditioning and the first winter a couple of days without heat. Every time we needed you all to stand behind your products it has been a big fight. We have been traumatized by this experience and after six years of hell I plan to fight back. Check our account and you will see what good customers we are. We have been verbally abused and coerced by your staff and I am taking a stand. What I have asked for since the beginning of this process is an itemized list of where our 74000 went. I asked Steve Russell again yesterday for copies of our file and he said he was advised by corporate office to only give me things I signed. Why is he hiding what was paid to the block man, land prep person, carpenter who built decks, etc.. is this top secret? I have filed formal complaints with corporate and BBB and today I emailed Dan Dare to get a news spot. I'm tired Clayton and someone is going to answer my questions. Brenda and Steve Russell and the Jacksboro lot need to be investigated. I will not slow down until I am a satisfied customer!!! Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!!!!
