Crouse Cafe, in Indianola, IA, is the leading restaurant serving Indianola, and surrounding areas. Family-owned since 1946, the restaurant was started by Bob and Cleo Crouse with locations in Leon, Knoxville, and Indianola. In 1963, it was sold to their son, Richard, and his wife, Bonnie Crouse. In 1970, R.M. Hale convinced Bonnie to move across the street to its present location. It was then left to their children John, Bob, and Cindy in 1987. John and Rhonda now own and operate the restaurant along with John's brother Bob, their son Josh in the kitchen, and daughter Kristin and nieces Heidi and Abbie as waitresses.
