In 2009 Don Fowler was hired to do remodeling on my home in Fresno, adding 2 new rooms, remodeling my bathrooms & kitchen & living room. He has yet to finish the work. He went on a mini-vavation out of the country to pick up his son who was getting off of a church mission, had his two young workers come two more days & then suddenly said they were not coming the 3rd day as they were to start a new project. They never came back to finish the bathroom, nor the kitchen. The shower is unfinished, hot water not working due to water hammering in bathroom, walks unfinished. Splash back in kitchen unfinished in kitchen. Under side of granite bar unfinished. Electrical connection blew out in one medicine cabinet.. electrical connection blew out in kitchen. Baseboards not completed. Floor not grouped, walls not grouped, tiles fell off in bathroom. Exterior wall joint cracked where room was added. Electrical outlets on exterior not completed. Don falsely substituted GUARDIAN glass windows & patio doors instead of life-time warranty Jeld-Wen doors & windows that had a limited 10- year warranty that have defects in the double paned glass. Found that out when I contacted Jeld-Wen for warranty. Not their product. Cannot trust Don to finish job, nor to deliver correct products that were paid for. He used a young man to do Electrical work & was not certified as electrician. He took last payment of $10,000 & skipped out of the job. I hired him because his company built a house my neice had bought, & trusted him because he & his family were members of same church as my sister & she was best friends with Don's wife. Didn't matter to him. I am out $9, 000 , plus interest after 15 years of non-completion. He lied to me about getting construction permit in Fresno. That was not filed, even though one morning as he came to the job & specifically told me that he had just filed it. It was never filed. No record of it. That is part of the reason he never had I.D. signs on the construction vehicles, so Fresno would not see who was parked out front. He literally told me that.
