Do not be influenced by the glitzy decor and the free booze at Daoud's Fine Jewelry. The establishment run by Patrick Daoud is subtitled "Buyer Beware." I paid a premium price for a Patek Phillip watch that Patrick Daoud stated was in mint condition, certified by "his jeweler." The first time I wore it the watch fell off my wrist when the band disengaged from the watch. I returned it and the jeweler "fixed" it with a larger pin, commenting that the watch was worn. I requested that Patrick Daoud repair the defect but he declined. (Regretfully I should have returned it at that point). I have now forwarded the watch to the New York office of Patek Phillppe for cleaning. They have advised that "the timepiece was previously serviced by a non-Patek Philippe technician. There is rust found in the movement. The hands are tarnished. The dial is tarnished and scratched ... the case is worn ... springbars are not of Patek Philippe manufacture." I presented a copy of the repair estimate to Patrick Daoud. He advised me to disregard the estimate and gave me about ten minutes of BS of how companies such as Patek Philippe, Tiffany, Mercedes, etc is not recommended as they are too critical when it comes to quality, whereas his jewelers perform necessary work at a much lower cost. Patrick Daoud dismissed the "rust" and "non-Patek Philippe parts" as immaterial comments. Patrick Daoud is in the business of cheating his customers in any way that he can. An example is his reecent court conviction
