THIRD GENERATION PLUMB AND MECH CO INC looked at a plumbing toilet issue under a home warranty contact, for a 25 year old toilet with a crack in the back. They wrote up cracked back, I signed, they told me they'd call after they submitted paperwork with the warranty company to do a followup, and left.
They entered it as 'misuse' to the warranty company, for a crack in a 25 year old toilet that's about 15 years past it's expiration date so warranty company isn't concerning it.
On top of that they never called to explain or do a followup.
They are shady, underhanded business practices, and have bad / dropped communication. Working with them is more time and stress than help and I'd rather eat a chainsaw than reach out the them myself and compound the time, stress, and filching money they will do.
Don't recommend. Quicker to just give them you money and then hire someone who will actually fix your home.

I love this Company! They work together talk very nicely to each other and were extremely professional. In this time of people keeping social distance I found the gentlemen that worked putting in my new unit to observe all cautions still maintaining a friendly, concerned and caring attitude. The workmanship is impeccable, they went the extra mile to educate me in how to care for and work my unit flawlessly! It is obvious they enjoy their work, take pride in details and always, always were smiling and happy as they tirelessly worked to have the work finished in a timely manner. I cannot conclude my review without saying that they are worth twice what I paid for this fabulous new, efficient, energy saving air conditioner and heat pump!

THIS COMPANY IS COMPLETELY DISHONEST!! DO NOT USE!!! American Home Shield, my home warranty company sent these crooks out to fix a leaky shower valve. Robby, the tech, said the cartridge was calcified and could not be replaced and had $550.00 in additional "necessary" non-covered charges on the work order. Being suspicious of this, I called a local plumber for a second opinion. They ended up simply replacing the cartridge, that Third Generation said could not be replaced. A quick and inexpensive fix that, had I used Third Generation Plumbing, would have cost over $625.00 in non-covered expenses.

This repair was a scheduled follow-up to install a replacement part in HVAC. Received a phone call telling me tech would be at my home within 30 minutes - the agreed procedure when scheduled. I came home and waited. At 37 minutes I called to check his status and was told that he must be in traffic because he was coming straight to me and was not making any stops enroute. 41 minutes after that phone call (78 minutes after first phone call, 48 minutes after the 30 min arrival time quoted) I called back and asked where the tech was. They asked if I needed to reschedule my appointment. I told her that I was where I was supposed to be - did they need to reschedule? She hung up on me.
I called back and was connected to the HVAC Manager Omar. Omar said that his guy had to go to the parts supply house before coming to me and that accounted for all the time. I asked when he would show up: "We don't give times. He'll probably be there in 15 minutes." I told him that after having waited 80 minutes for their tech to show up, if he wasn't there in 15 minutes I would like to receive compensation for my wasted time. "I'll call my guy and tell him to take your part back and you can call someone else. There's your compensation." Since they had already been paid for the part and the repair I find this to be not only unprofessional, but unethical. We will not hire Third Generation for my home or any of my corporate properties in the Tampa area again. Hanging up was the final straw.
