Couldn't ask for a better experience with getting my AC serviced and ultimately replaced. My husband and I were given all the information on our current unit with several options. We ultimately decided on getting a new AC system installed. The installation service technicians were prompt, friendly and very professional. They answered any question we had during the installation. From the start of the whole process to the end. Scott Ridout and his team are the best!!

I called for no heat most other places I called had a day wait due to high volume. Scott was quick to show up but that’s when the trouble started. He, and I quote “rigged” my furnace to just run on high. Diagnosed my furnace with in 5min of a bad heat exchanger. Told my the brand furnace which was only 7 years old offered a warranty on the exchanger but he would charge labor. I asked how much and if it was better to replace the furnace. I was told by Scott And I will quote him “I don’t know what you believe in,but you better pray your furnace makes it through the weekend” and “even if you told me you wanted a new furnace I do not have time to install it”. I told him I wanted to get quotes as it sounded like an expensive repair and if it was a faulty part then it would happen again and wasn’t worth me paying for the repair. He left my home and I called 3 other local businesses for quotes. About a week later Ridouts called to set up the replacement. Scott had went ahead and made the request for the new part and I did NOT agree to him doing the work. I ended up going with another company and I requested that the old furnace exchanger be looked at to see if indeed that was bad. the owner of the company I went with informed me it was NOT bad at all. but he did find a fan that was freezing up and probably causing the safety switches to be tripped. Which was also what was rigged on my furnace to keep running. I am a single mom and I feel that I was taken advantage of by Scott the owner of Ridouts. He has no concern for the safety or welfare of my family by rigging my furnace. He also sent me a bill for the parts he ordered and had to return wish I did not approve. When I called his business to discuss the bill with him he told me I had better pay or be sent to collections. I will say his secretary whom I talked to serval times was always very pleasant.
