We have been buyers of this bread for years. However, the last few loaves we have bought have been very disappointing. What we loved was the soft texture, the large size of the slice, and the white color of the interior. Lately, however, the slices are smaller, the texture is coarse, almost a stale feel, and the bread has a yellow tone. Obviously they have changed their recipe (or bakery) and the result is quite unsatisfactory. I have discussed this with other people I know who also were faithful buyers and they agreed with my observations. None of us are planning to purchase your brand again unless there is a return to the original recipe and slice size. I am so disappointed to lose a brand that I have always supported (I live near Reading, PA) but I will be looking for a brand that has the flavor and texture I loved from Maiers. Please do not send me coupons for your bread until these issues have been resolved.
