Townsend, Owner/General Manager, in earning the designation of Certified Protection Professional (CPP). Attaining this designation places Ms. Townsend among a distinguished group of security professionals, and places Hanover Security Guards Inc. among those organizations fortunate enough to have a CPP helping with their protection responsibilities. The Certified Protection Professional Program, established in 1977 by the American Society for Industrial Security, is intended to demonstrate practitioners' competency in a variety of subjects that have been determined to be integral to the job functions of security professionals, and to assure continuing professional development. These objectives are attained by successful completion of a comprehensive, written examination to achieve initial certification, and by participation in various professional endeavors to achieve recertification every three years. This Program has been designed to meet the growing need for personnel who have demonstrated the mastery of certain basic skills, and who will honor their commitment to maintain a high level of professional development.
