We bought a house in Tucson and hired Shane Lalama as the General Contractor on our house. He was hired to perform a number of renovations and improvements to the house including but not limited to: Roofing, BBQ installation, Electrical, Carpentry, Cabintry, and Plumbing. The first few months went smoothly, but immediately following that period, the whole project took a precipitous and costly turn downward. First he hired unqualified sub-contractors who did not have proper training or experience in their field. Their work was shabby and poorly done, or in some circumstances not done at all. Second, he regulary took cash and check payments from us on a good faith basis and then either did a poor job performing the work or failed to perform the work at all! Really bad experience.
