I am a new horse owner and recently moved myself and my 10 year old TB gelding to Amelia, Virginia. Wigwam Stables has been everything I could wish for and more as a new horse owner and boarder. The staff has been extremely helpful and friendly, professional, and supportive. Every morning my boy gets a wellness check, his hooves picked, and his blanket put on (he has three and the staff use the one for the day's temperature). In the evening, he has his grain (we've been adjusting it every 1-2 weeks as my Florida boy has adjusted to the Virginia weather), hay, and his stable blanket put on. If the staff see anything during his wellness check, they'll take a photo and send it to me. The pastures are huge, the outdoor arena lit, and there are miles of hilly trails to explore around the 120-acre 18th century estate. All this for $350/month full board!

Even some of the full board ($450) horses are drastically under weight. The hay provided is low quality and rationed, even though there were dozens of round bales in the barn. Poorly maintained facility.
