My daughter rented an apartment from David Hoge and lived there for several years. While she lived there he was a great landlord. She moved out in August 2018. Legally, a deposit is to be given back within 30 days if there are no repairs to the apartment. If there are repairs the landlord has 30 days to report these repairs and determine cost and then return remainder of deposit, if there is a remainder. Despite MANY voicemails which were left for him regarding this matter and a certified letter, Mr. Hoge has never responded and now, 7 months later, we still have no returned deposit monies and no contact from him. Given his lack of professionalism and his illegal action of keeping our deposit, I would not advise renting an apartment from him.
