George L. Acosta is the founding and managing partner of Acosta & Associates. With a concentration in civil litigation, his broad trial and appellate experience includes representing clients in wrongful death, product liability, medical malpractice, premises liability, and commercial litigation. Mr. Acosta is licensed in the states of Illinois and Minnesota (currently inactive). He is admitted to the trial bar in the Supreme Court of the United States as well as the Northern and Central Federal District Courts of Illinois and has successfully represented clients before Illinois’ First and Second District Appellate Courts. A Director on the Board of the DuPage County Bar Foundation and a fellow of the DuPage County Academy of Bar Leaders, Mr. Acosta is also a Chair-Qualified Arbitrator in both the Cook and DuPage County Mandatory Arbitration Programs. Mr. Acosta has served as General Counsel to mid-sized Chicago-based construction and chemical companies. He has also served as General Counsel to “Mary’s Kids,” a Chicago-based charitable not-for-profit that supports inner-city youth, and he serves as a director and corporate secretary for the Cuban Lutheran Fellowship, a not-for-profit ministry supporting the training of pastors in Cuba. Mr. Acosta is a past director on the boards of Court-Appointed Special advocates (CASA) of DuPage County and Fox Valley Lutheran Academy.
