I heard about the woman that does custom Birks at this place. She made them for someone I know, and she has now her own professional level design. It is always risky to have art created for your feet, because if you don't like them, you are stuck with them, but for the person that wishes to be unique or give an amazing gift, there is something memorable about it. My friend says they are her favorite sandals of all time, and she only wears them for special occasions. I think she paid about 300 bucks for them.

I have had a horrible experience with this company. I placed several calls - no one ever answers the phone, it's always a recordinf to leave a message. I don't even know if they are in business. What business doen't answer it's phone? I emailed several times - no response. My order was placed on the website so I foolishly put in personal info. The site said it was secure but if no one ever responds to my request about the order and I haven't received an order WHY would I believe that the site was secure. Buyer beware!!!

I found these shoes for my Mother for her birthday. She had a pair in black that she had practically worn out after many, many years of wearing. This color, although marked as dark brown look practically black. The main difference being the buckles are brown, not black. She loves them and says they fit exactly like her previous pair. I am very pleased with this buy and at Sandals4less it was much cheaper than any birkenstocks I could find locally, plus they had the narrow width.

I do like Dansko's and those Israeli clogs, but the Birkis are my favorite. I can't figure out the sizing thing though. In the shoes I am a 9, and in the sandals I am in an 8, except when I am not. Sandals4less should tell Birkenstock they should make the sizes more uniform.

The best shoes I have ever worked in. I work in a kitchen and get wet feet, sometimes, and these have taken care of the problem. This is the second pair I have bought in 2 1/2 years. I work 45 hrs a week and this is a wonderful life for a pair of work shoes. I use to go through 2 pairs a year. And they are so comfortable.

Unfortunately, I wore them as soon as they arrived and was miserable by the end of the day. (It wasn't a matter of getting accustomed to the foot bed, although I've never owned a shoe like this before.) I tried them again a couple of days later and suffered the same ankle, knee and hip pain. This shoe is not for the flat footed. Try it at your own risk but I wouldn't recommend it. HOwever, if this type of shoe has worked for you in the past, you'll probably be happy with it. It has a real leather upper and appears well made.
