Gundersen Tweeten Care Center Gundersen Tweeten Care Center is nestled in the rural town of Spring Grove, Minn. We are a 50-bed nursing home which consists of a cozy 12-bed memory care unit with staff who are trained to meet the needs of residents with various forms of dementia. Residents participate in small-group activities as well as one-to-one interaction. We encourage family involvement to nurture those bonds that give life value and meaning. Our goal in the Woodlands unit is to provide our residents with compassionate care in a comfortable and secure environment. Currently we are the only skilled nursing facility that provides a secure dementia unit in southeast Minnesota (Houston and Fillmore counties). Because of this we receive many inquiries and referrals from across Minnesota. Our 38-bed unit is for long-term and short-term rehab residents. Structured rehabilitation and skilled services are provided by professional care givers. A clinic with laboratory and X-ray services is located conveniently within our facility. We promote the motto "Where old friends become reacquainted and new friends are found."
