My apartment was fine when I was living in it. Apart from the air conditioner that didn’t heat the apartment when it was too cold and didn’t cool the apartment when it was above 90 degrees outside (which happens quite often). Management changed three times over three years. When I moved out I was asked to pay the amount above the security deposit, which was 200 dollars. I was not warned about the items on the bill, such as the charge for painting the walls (100 dollars!). When I called and inquired about the charge I was told that it was a standard charge (which I was not warned about despite that I asked) and was not given adequate explanations as to why I was not informed about it when I asked beforehand. My previous land lord, Thomas Sharp, would not charge me for such a thing as it was his regular maintenance expense, and did not have anything to do with my maintenance of the apartment. I think it is unfair, as I moved to a different state and cannot debate the charges with Brookhollow face to face, and I feel that Brookhollow might have taken advantage of this and charge me whatever they please, knowing that I will not come back to debate the charge. Shame on them. Would not recommend them, as they spoiled my good memories of that place.
