I'm a musician who works independently and well as in groups. I perform, compose, teach and produce acts in the Washington, DC area. I specialize in keyboard and composition, catering to the singer-songwriter market. i work primarily from home- an apartment, headphone-based mini-studio, but i'll travel with an associate, drummer/teacher Steve Maryn, who drives. Particular influences- and sound-alikes include Donald Fagen/Steely Dan, Michael MacDonald, Boz Scaggs, Daryl Hall and John Oates,Todd Ru with Gil Scott-Heron, Carole King, Bill Evans, Duke Ellington and Vince Guaraldi rounding out my sound. I also copy manuscript, prepare lead sheets, arrange and orchestrate. while i'm very low-tech, I partner with a tech-savvy gifted producer-engineer/composing rhythm guitarist - Brian wood with his Team Tool Productions.Brian primarily works as a climate change lobbyist.
