About 12 years ago Algola ruined my manuscript (changed its title and some statements without my consent). I haven't received any legal document concerning the book sales and my royalties.
Several days ago I checked that my name is not among Algora's authors. It means that it sold the Work without informing me about that.
Several day ago I sent email to Aldora demanding all financial information for 12 years; if Algora sold my Work, all details of this sale ( my 10% if you had a profit which I am sure you had); my copyright as its author because Algora violated main items of the contract agreement .
Algora's response was ridiculous (with 14 days delay after additional letters). None question was answered properly. Several statements were absolutely false. My request to clarify Algora's response was ignored.
I read several reviews which indicated the dishonesty of this publishing company. I am not alone raising the question about the quality of publishing and honesty of Algora's owners.

What began as a good relationship with Algora Publishing, deteriorated in 2015. This was the time when they stopped sending me their annual statements. When I inquired, I was told that I was overpaid.
The books are selling, (although in very small quantities) and I, the author, have not received any royalties on these sales since 2015. I was recently told that this would be permanent and I would never receive any royalties again. They also said that they did not even bother to properly adjust my statements. Their reply is that at least they did not ask me for money. I can definitely advise any authors to look elsewhere.

Thanks is also due the editorial staff at Algora Publishers. My editors have had confidence in the project since its inception, and have done their usual more than praiseworthy job in moving the manuscript through production. Every author should be so fortunate.

If you are attracted by the Algora Publishing website, DON’T BE IN HURRY to send them your manuscript. Make some research. It is not simple because the website doesn’t contain necessary information.
Below you can find a lot of useful information to make a proper decision.
1. The contract I signed being lured by their website didn’t contain the name of a person who signed it, i.e., the legally responsible person. All my letters asking to provide me with this name were ignored.
2. According to the contract authors can receive proofs only if they ask about it. This shows that Algora Publishing doesn’t care about quality of published books. Moreover, I demanded that and found out that my text was distorted and the inserted part I evaluated as anti-American.
3. I found out the reasons of such insertions by contacting the State of New York Office of Attorney General and other sources. This so-called publishing company is run by
(i) an immigrant from Romania Claudiu Secara, who got B.S. in political science and cited Karl Marx on the company’s website.
(ii) Andrea Secara, who “was the vice-president of a major organization of American-Soviet Union relations, for twenty years, dealing at the level of Premier Primakov...” (Mr. Primakov is the former KGB chief)
4. The company consists of 3 persons without special knowledge in editing, publishing and accounting. Your manuscript will be reloaded using their software and sent to a printing facility, which, it seems to me,

I wish to especially thank the editors at Algora for promptly and meticulously offering useful comments to improve the quality and clarity of my work--and refreshingly overcoming my anxiety over new technology.
