Would not recommend this designer. Contracted her to design my bedroom during our initial meeting in September 2011. Told her my goal was to have this project done by December - she said it was realistic, however, not all the furniture would arrive. I was ok with that. Gave her a budget and during our second meeting (10/2011) to go over fabrics, furniture, and carpet, it was clear that she did not listen to me in our initial meeting. Based on her selections, she was going to go over the budget by 2 - 3 times. She admitted this. The window treatments alone (for two small windows) was going to be approximately $7500.00. Furniture was not to my taste. When I verbalized my concerns, she re-grouped and we scheduled another meeting. Thought it went well. She then went down to High Point for a designer conference in October, then I never heard from her again. When I contacted her 7 weeks later and voiced my concern that I had not heard from her, she said " just thought you were busy". Gee, though she worked for me? We scheduled another meeting, she canceled, then went I attempted to contact her, several times over 5 weeks, she never returned my calls. I plan on taking her to court to recover the money paid her. Be very careful if you hire her. She only works with furniture she reps, and through the Michigan Design Center in Troy. Most of the fabric she showed me cost a minimum of $150.00/yard and up. Are you that creative if you can only design with big bucks?
