I went in to test drive a vehicle from this dealership last week. It was a 2012 Dodge Journey with only 93,000 miles and the asking price was $10,995 Before the test drive, the owner of the company "Tom" told me that the cash price on this particular vehicle was $6,700 with all the taxes & fees included in this price. I went ahead and took the car for a test ride and noticed immediately that the brakes were ( Metal ON Metal ) GRINDING which caused the steering wheel to pulsate heavily when braking the vehicle to come to a complete stop. When I got back to the dealership, I told Tom the problem and he responded that he would "buy" me a set if brakes but I would have to have them installed myself. I requested that he go ahead and replace the brakes and I'll commit to buying the vehicle which he responded, "I can't do that". Basically, the deal was dead in the water at that point. I called Tom on the phone and told him that I wanted to still buy the vehicle. He responded, "o.k. , I will go ahead and replace the brakes on the Journey" , please feel free to call me tomorrow to set up a time to come back in and complete the transaction. I said, "Wonderful, We Have A Deal"!!! Then, when i called the next day he said, "Sorry but one of my employees put a down payment on that vehicle". I was so angry!!! I told him that we had a deal and now you are backing out if it! I was very dissatisfied and disappointed with my experience with them. BUYER BEWARE OF LAKESIDE MOTORS
