Mindy Miller`
My daughter just returned home from a swim meet in Denver. They were stuck in Silverthorne due to the weather and had to find a place to stay for the night. Unfortunately First Inn Silverthorne was the only place available. I am APPALLED and absolutely DISGUSTED at the filthy condition of the hotel. They walked up the stairs to the room and there was a giant "flower pot" full of cigarrette butts. In the room they pulled back the sheets to find cigarrette burns in the sheets and bed, someone's fake fingernail stuck in the sheets, BLOOD on the headboard, other stains on the sheets. There was a graffiti drawing of a giant penis on the wall. There were stains on the lampshade. The door bolt was torn off. The list goes on. I am angry that my daughter had to stay in such a place and am more upset that the school district wasted their money paying for this stay. If it wasn't snowing out it would have been more sanitary to camp out on the ground!
