Our experience and our family atmosphere is what makes Stone Funeral Homes the best option for your family. Richard Enoch Stone established the first Stone Funeral Home located in Cocoa, Fl. in 1923. In later years, Magnolia Street was changed to Stone Street in honor of Richard E. Stone. Stone funeral home was especially integrated into the community and was regarded as a main contributor to the overall growth of Brevard County. In 1937, Stone moved the location of his business to its present location at 516 King Street. Although many renovations have occurred, this has been home to the Stone Funeral Home for close to a century now. To make servicing the community more convenient, a second location in Melbourne, FL was also opened. This means that there are now two different locations at 2400 Stone Street Melbourne, FL and 516 King Street Cocoa, FL to provide you with funeral home services. FAMILY ROOTS AND A RICH HISTORY Family is what the Stone Funeral Home was founded on. The entire family has been an integral part of expanding and growing the business throughout the years. The son of Richard Stone worked with his father for more than 50 years until the death of Richard E. Stone in 1985. After Richard’s death, Rudy Stone picked up where his father left off and continued to grow the family business with high values in mind. Presently, Stone Funeral Homes are manages by the wife of the late Rudy Stone. Jan Stone continues to run the business not simply for profit, but to offer support to the community. The Stone family got into this business for the right reasons and continues to offer experience that provides comfort to families most in need.
