I brought my Poodle with an AMAZING topknot and lush head of hair to The Farm for grooming. The groomer came out to meet me and we discussed my expectations in detail. I had shaved his face and banded the topknot perfectly just before our appointment that morning, and instructed to only shave his body as his face and topknot were already beautifully done. I was HORRIFIED when I picked Miko up ... He had strange ponytails unlike any Poodle style placed to cover up raw and blistered areas that are NEVER SHAVED by ANY groomer when grooming Poodles. Over 12" and 6 years of growth were taken from all around his head, and the amazing topknot that he had only hours before was GONE ... Without my consent his style was COMPLETELY and irreparably changed, as it will never grow back in his lifetime. His classic Poodle cut that ALL groomers are trained to do was ruined, and without my consent. It defies reason that anyone calling themselves a "groomer" would make such a heinous mistake, however, IT IS THE FARMS RESPONSIBILITY TO SCREEN THEIR EMPLOYEES TO ENSURE THAT THE SERVICES THAT THEY PROVIDE MEET AT LEAST THE MINIMUM STANDARDS BEFORE ALLOWING THEM TO TOUCH A CLIENTS DOG Devastated, sad, and angry do not come close to describing how I feel.
