A mixed bag but with some definite deal-breakers, would not recommend. Warning: Jeff's instructions for bi-optic drivers goes against the recommendations of the ADED which certifies trainers including himself, these are dangerous to implement. Jeff also used out of date information about rules of the road as confirmed by the Oregon DMV. When confronted about these issues he was unwilling to listen and insisted that he was correct. I went to Jeff in 2017 to get re-certified for bioptic driving in Oregon, I experienced that Jeff would make claims about my driving that were targeted at eroding my confidence in my driving ability, even tho I have been driving with a bioptic for 7 years without issue and likely have more behind the wheel hours than he does. I didn't buy it and went elsewhere to get my re-certification for Oregon rules. Other instructors contradicted Jeff's criticism stating that I drive perfectly, this echos the experience of other customers. I would recommend against using Jeff for any driving instruction as the potential risk to self and others is substantial and Jeff's unwillingness to listen to critical feedback on safety issues is a serious concern.

Jeff Lango lies and manipulates students to take more lessons in order to gain financially. His costs are far overrated. He charges $90 per hour opposed to other reasonably cost driving instructors in the state. Lango LIED about the driving exam process, He contradicted himself stating that he’s had students think they’re ready for the test (when he believes they’re not) only to go take the exam against his wishes and fail. However, he also stated that his certification must be sent to the DMV before allowing you to take the exam. The aforementioned is a LIE, the DMV does NOT require any type of certification. He does this to manipulate his students into taking far more lessons than they actually require in order for him to gain financially. There are other instructors that are just as knowledgeable, more helpful, accommodating and better priced. Lango’s learning methods are unrealistic, distracting. I questioned my DMV examiner on his rules and they are incorrect. Lango’s reputation within the driving is unprofessional and 'difficult'.He woudn't answer my questions until I scheduled an appt. (so he can charge you). He cancelled last minute 4x’s, He doesn’t bother with handouts or study guides, He’s lost many students and out of bitterness he’s sent a letter to the he’s sent a letter to the DMV stating that they’re unfit to drive all together. Do your research, Google 'adaptive driving Oregon' and you'll find many (better) instructors.

Dear Mr. Lango, After 15 months of not driving, the time (5hrs) I spent wih you was very valuable. I had not been able to do so many things because of my injuries, that I lost a great deal of self -confidence. Your freindly, no nonsence approach to driving helped me regain confidence and skills. Your immediate resonse to my fax RE your letter about my evaluation was greatly appreciated by me and my family. I got my letter from DMV as you said, and I passed both test. Yeah! Thank you very much! Nancy
