1876 Historic Itailanate Victorian listed on National register was built by Peleg Holmes for his daughter Alice as a wedding present when she married Dr Nelson Barnes. The Holmes family tree includes Colonist Miles Standish. Later home owners such as A.B. Brown local politician and bussiness owner entertained F.D.R. at the home.
