I just had the absolute worst experience with United Refrigeration. It started about the end of September when my ice maker stopped working. I was referred to United Refrigeration so I gave them a call. The technician came out and I told him that they are just replace the waterline for the building and I thought that the problem might be from particles from there working on the waterline. He was here for a few minutes and said that I needed a water pump. He told me the office would call me and tell me how much that was going to be. A little while later I got a call from their office and they told me it was going to be $900 for the water pump and installation. I was shocked and thought that was a tremendous amount of money for the water pump so I looked at the machine myself to see if I can find something wrong with it. I am not a mechanic or a technician by any stretch of the imagination but I did see a small particle that was keeping the water pump from spinning. I removed it and the ice maker work perfect. I could not believe that United Refrigeration came by and told me that I needed a new water pump and then it was going to be $900 to replace and it was exactly what I told the technician that it might've been. They charge me $114 for the technician to come by and spend a few minutes and try to get me to spend 900 more dollars to replace a water pump that I didn't need. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!
