Similar experience to other reviews. Basically this guy and his wife are scammers. Now it's a legal scam but annoying, time-wasting, and expensive. What this husband-wife couple do is give away free "portrait sessions" to charity auctions all over town, probably all over Virginia. I don't even think they have any services besides the charity auction nonsense. (The website doesn't list prices or anything and is just a FB page). You "win" the session but the whole plan from their end is to sell you way overpriced portraits. You can get a beautiful framed photo from a digital print in any style you want for $100 or so online. But they won't sell you the digital files, just lousy portraits at 10x that price or more. Do yourself a favor if you've already bought the portrait session - throw the certificate in the trash and find a real photographer who may cost $300-$1000 but will give you the digital files and not waste your time with absurd high pressure sales tactics and in person meetings like a scummy door to door salesperson. And oh yes - like other reviews - they are incredibly rude and condescending. Most dishonest scammers are, especially if you're not falling for their scam.

I had one of the worst experiences of my life with Andrew Carney. He was condescending and insulting from the beginning. We had purchased a $1000 gift certificate at a silent auction at a charity event. We ended up spending another $3500 in pictures. After all that money, he refused to provide us with the high resolution image of the picture we purchased. When my husband called to inquire about this, Andrew's wife hung up on him. They also tried to reschedule our final meeting with my husband an hour before the meeting b/c Andrew didnt want to have to make 2 separate trips to Suffolk in 2 days. He insulted my character and was extremely condescending to my mother in law. I have never experience such blatant disrespect for a customer in my life. For being in the service industry, this man has no idea what customer service looks like. For the price you will pay for his pictures, you can find an equally talented photographer who will treat you kindly.
