I'm generally pretty understanding when it comes to poor customer service. I'll always give the benefit of the doubt, so when I attempted on my first visit to show the surly staffperson manning the desk a half off VersaSpa coupon on my smartphone, she said it wouldn't be valid -- they needed a print-out. So I drove 15 minutes home to print it out, 15 minutes back, and handed it her. Never once was she apologetic over the inconvenience, but I chalked it up to her lack of either brains or customer service skills. I went back today (a few months later) with another printed coupon. A different surly clerk refused it, saying it can only be used once per year. NOWHERE ON THE COUPON DOES IT SAY THIS. She supposedly called her district manager to see if they'd accept it; supposedly this person said no. When I asked to speak to this person, she refused, saying I should call customer service on Monday. Hello, it's Saturday. I have an event tomorrow, and you're the only VersaSpa salon in a 20 mile radius. So I walked out and you lost my business. Really, are you raking in that much business that they'd turn away a customer over a coupon you didn't word properly? Staff and management need a lesson in customer service and policy administration ASAP.
