Chatham Alarm installed the fire alarm system for my new preschool. Their first inspection failed. Their second inspection almost failed because they had not placed a metal locking device in our circuit box to prevent anyone from flipping the breaker on our fire alarm. The fire chief said he would let it slide because Chatham Alarm service promised they would come back the next day and install the little piece of metal that would lock the breaker for the fire alarm. They never came back. The fire chief is again scheduled to come back tomorrow and when I called Phil Gaines and asked when he was going to install the circuit breaker lock, he informed me that I could go to Hunt's electrical and purchase my own and that he did not intend to come out. I was completely shocked at his rude and dismissive behavior. I let him know that and he let me know that he was not concerned about that. And I guess that's true, because I had already paid him for the complete job. That on me for trusting these guys to keep their word. I would never use them again and never will. I spent the afternoon driving 40 miles just to pick up this metal piece so that we could have it for the inspection tomorrow.
