In Late February 2005, San Juan Bautista took delivery of a new 2005 Pierce Contender Custom Pumper. This new, state of the art pumper has seating for The San Juan Bautista Fire Department is a full-service Emergency Services Organization that provides fire suppression, emergency medical services (basic life support), fire prevention public education, and rescue and extrication services to an area encompassing approximately 70 square miles. The San Juan Bautista Volunteer Fire Department was formed in 1868 to help protect the citizens from damaging and deadly fire. Just as the times have changed, so has our mission. Today, we provide the community with a full range of quality emergency services. Your fire department is the community's first line of protection during times of emergency crisis. We also have a Fire Explorer program that gets the youth of our community (ages 15-18) involved with community service.
