Michel needs to stick to furniture. I brought my Vintage 1987 Porsche in to have the seats reupholstered in leather. He charged a premium price $2885 for 2 the front and rear seats, so I was expecting a premium job. Upon pickup I noticed the seat release to tilt the seats forward no longer worked and one of the handles was missing. He insisted they did not work when i dropped off the car, so I figured there was no point in pursuing it further. The next thing I noticed was one of the power seat switches was broken, I then noticed that the other switch did not work. He once again insisted that it did not work upon drop off. Other issue was that we had agreed, on a triple stitch around the edge of the seat rather than the corded edge the stock seat had. He only did a single stitch around the seat back & put the corded around the bottom. Now the ugly. I got the car home & removed the front seats to fix the seat releases. He had cross threaded one of the bolts that holds the back on. The next issue was when I went to remove the passenger seat, the bolts to hold it in where only hand tight & all the washers where missing. These issues created a dangerous situation for both me and my passengers. Upon trying to reinstall the passenger seat I discovered one of the bolts had been cross threaded. The others had their Allen sockets partially stripped. Next I discovered the latches on the rear folding seat no longer work. The plastic pieces that where broken while disappointing are somewhat understandable for a 33 year old car. The other mechanical issues are totally unacceptable. I worked most of the day Friday on my day off to get the seats repaired so I could safely drive my car. I didn't find out about the stripped bolts on the passenger seat until to late to get replacements, So I still only have one seat. Avoid at all cost unless you want to spend a lot of money for poor results.
Adding an update to this. While repairing the power switch on the drivers seat, which he broke, I discovered that he did not use leather, which he charged me $400 extra for. He used the leather as an excuse for why it took 3 weeks to complete the car. The man is a total con artist.
