from: James Estes, Auburn, A; Jan 29, 2012 My wife (Janelle) and I have not long returned to our home from spending part of the morning and most of the afternoon in St. Francis Hospital Emergency Room. This morning Janelle had some kind of attack (she lost consciousness and I thought she had died) while we were enroute to Florida for vacation. I pulled over and called Onstar and the operator (Peggy) contacted EMS. The first responder to come on the scene (County Line Road and Hwy. 27) was Katie. I was so glad to see her and commend her professional ability. She was courteous and capable, and off duty at the time. Next to arrive was the ambulance with was Blake and Russ. They were comptent and courteous also. It made me fell so good to have them there so soon. Janelle was transported to St. Francis Hospital (at my request) in Columbus. She underwent a number of tests and the diagonis was maybe a febrile illness. I thought she was dying. She is resting now at home after being discharged and will she her regular physician tomorrow (Lord Willing). Blake and Russ stayed around to make sure she was taken care of and explain the situation to me. My undying thanks goes to Katie, Blake and Russ and Stewart County Ems. Sincerely, James Estes
