Its community Grief Counseling Program also comforts anyone coping with the loss of a loved one. A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Hospice By The Bay has served Bay Area families since 1975. Accredited by the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP) and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Hospice By The Bay care is funded through health care reimbursement from Medicare, Medi-Cal and private insurance, as well as charitable contributions from individuals and corporate donors.
