Small Town Friendly Service! Family Owned & Operated! On September 1st, 1961 Merle Kelly Ford opened for business in the heart of downtown Chanute, KS. Mr. Merle Kelly founded the company on two principles which are still the benchmark for all the decisions made at the dealerships today: "Treat the customer the way they want to be treated." and "Support the local community." Mr. Kelly believed that when he helped someone buy a vehicle he had made a friend for life. These values have been passed from father to son to grandson. Even though the dealership location has changed and Chanute has grown since 1961. We are still the dealership where you will experience small town friendliness and a commitment to exceeding our customers expectations. Merle Kelly Ford has been satisfying customers and forming lifetime friendships for over 50 years. We have been honored to be a Blue Oval Certified Dealer since it’s inception, and have won Ford Motor Company’s most prestigious award, The President’s Award, multiple times. Our customers tell us we are a great place to do business. Our team members tell us we are a great place to work. Merle Kelly Ford in Chanute, KS, is proud to be a contributing member to our beautiful little town of Chanute! Through our Drive-One For Your Community efforts, we have raised thousands of proceeds to benefit groups such as the Chanute High School, St. Patrick's Catholic School, the VFW/Legion Veterans Memorial and we are eagerly excited to raise more! Today, the company is also involved in automobile financing, parts, accessories, service, and repair, collision/body shop repair, heavy/commercial truck service and much more. The Merle Kelly Ford name is also connected to customer service being one of the most respected names in Southeast Kansas. Now you can have a genuine "Friend in the car business"!
