Mr. Carlos was an incredible manager. He always did his best to get your work done right and on time. He tried his best to fix the place up. You could tell he cared. He would come by just to chat with you, or talk to anyone that came by. He listened when you had a problem and would personally come to check it. If his repair guys were busy, he'd do the work hisself. He ran criminals away from the property... I saw him stand in front of a drunk guy with a gun, one night... to protect his people. He'd play basketball with the kids, give them advice and wisdom, and speak to them equally in front of their folks. You could tell it bothered him to work for the slum lords that own this place, cause he'd do every thing he could to make it better, but he had no support. I'd have stayed if they hadn't done him dirty like they did. That man went six months without a stove or freezer of his own, just to make sure his residents had one first. I know, I was in his apartment several times. They should have kept him, not fire him because he wanted to evict two apartments that caused a fight.
