Long on Language is a small private practice that offers personalized services that identifies not only your speech and language error patterns and your communication strengths in order to help you become the best communicator possible. The problem is identified. Then through the therapeutic relationship, client and therapist work together to explore and reshape communicative attitudes while practicing communication strategies. First area of specialized training includes working with business professionals with speech and language deficits that are interfering with career success. This includes accent reduction, stuttering, difficulty with formulating ideas, difficulty with public speaking as well as difficulty with social skills. Second area of specialized training and knowledge includes working with teens and adults with Asperger's syndrome providing social language and social skills training. In addition to helping parents understand the Asperger language profile that includes normal to above normal language acquisition with impaired ability to use language, a direct result of impaired non-verbal language acquisition. We all have the potential to be the best communicator that we can be, if we use strategies that work for us and believe.
