I live in Oak Ridge and my husband passed away in Aug and i was looking for a roomate or 2 so i don’t have to live alone as i have a medical Condition and I am afraid to be alone Art came by my house and told me per the HOA a policy I cannot have anybody live with me as a roommate he said I was i was not allowed to rent my house it had to be owner occupied and I said to him I am the owner and I am occupying it I don’t understand how he Thinks By me having roommates that live with me is renting or leasing out my house because in the HOA a policy It does not say anything about me having roommates just that I can’t lease or rent my house out he threatened me made me sign a paper saying he would take a lien on my house if I let anybody else move in with me that’s not family. Told me that he would be contacting his attorney he is nothing but a bully and I talked to several real estate agents that I know and they gave me the phone number for a real estate attorney to contact tomorrow.
