NOT RECOMMENDED!! Be ware!! I brought, in the past, in an air cleaner cover assembly for my 1964 Impala SS 409 with A/C (so basically a SUPER rare and hard to get item) to JR's Chrome Plating in Forest Lake MN along with some other parts to be chromed for the same car. The owner John said if I paid him cash that he could lower my bill a little so I did so no receipt (probably not a good way for him to legally keep track of his business huh?). In the same breath he said they guarantee their work and if I had ANY problems to come back and they would take care of me. Not that I have anything to compare it to, but for the most part, all the items his shop re-chromed turned out good. However, I noticed VERY soon after I got it back that, the air cleaner cover snorkel had a soft area that was bubbling through on the bottom (about the size of a dime). Turns out that when he stripped the part he didn't block off the snorkel and the acid wasn't cleaned out good enough so it ate through the metal from the inside and actually ruined the entire snorkel. Keep in mind, after being re-chromed, that this air cleaner cover was sitting in my closet in my home where I hadn't even had a chance to use it yet as the car is still getting restored slowly. I confronted JR's and to my surprise they were not only rude, but told me that I was being "to picky and if I was going to be that picky they didn't want my future business either" and pretty much pointed me right at the door to leave. WOW.........
