My Mother, whom is 75 years old, had a "so called" maintenance contract with these people. On Friday night her air conditioner quit working. She called first thing Saturday morning and was told a technician would call her back. After 5 calls, someone finally called her back and said they would get a technician over. No word from them again all weekened. When asked why no one got back to her sooner, she was informed that they were "out in the field" and unavailable. Seemed to be the answer to all of our calls throughout this nightmare service call.
Technician showed up Monday afternoon, apparently they thought 90+ degree temperatures were fine to leave an elderly woman in for more than two full days.
When the technician decided to eventually come by, he informed her that a fan motor was out. The part was to be under warranty but not the labor. The labor was quoted as two guys for at least three hours. When someone finally showed up, it took one technician 30 minutes for which my mother (whom lives off her social security), was charged $785.00. Clearly abuse of the elderly is the nicest ethical violation here!
After this when we inquired further as to why the price was so high, we were told by everyone we spoke to that this was a "flat fee" and no one in the company could tell us what the breakdown on this fee might include.
