Dr. Greg Baldy is passionate about helping his patients experience pain relief and better overall health without drugs and without surgery. As the fifth of twelve children, and not running to the doctor or medicine cabinet for every scrape and sniffle, he learned at an early age the power of the body to heal itself. Dr. Baldy first learned about chiropractic while traveling throughout the West and seeking care from several different chiropractors. This and his interest in health and nutrition inspired him to earn his doctor of chiropractic degree from the prestigious Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis. Since then, he's taken numerous continuing-education courses, has served as a board member in a number of professional organizations and regularly consults with other healthcare professionals. While Dr. Baldy's technical expertise is important, his personal experiences have taught him several essentials of good chiropractic that he couldn't have learned in books. He understands the importance of creating a positive, encouraging environment for his patients. We have recently welcomed Dr. Alan Houfek as an associate doctor in our practice! After growing up in Raleigh and graduating from Broughton High School and ECU, Dr. Houfek attended Palmer West Chiropractic College. He practiced chiropractic in the Phoenix, AZ area for 10 years and has moved back to North Carolina with his wife and two young daughters. Dr. Houfek first experienced the benefits of chiropractic at age 12. While riding the bus to school one day the bus hit a bump jarred Dr. Houfek's neck leaving it stuck to the side with severe pain. He distinctly remembers walking into the chiropractors' office with severe neck pain and walking out relieved and able to move his head. "There is nothing I would rather be doing as a profession." He believes chiropractic is the best natural, non-invasive approach to achieving optimal health. Both Dr. Baldy and Dr. Houfek take the time to listen to their patients, thoroughly explain their condition and educate them on how chiropractic can help. It's this kind of care that has patients thanking both doctors for their genuine concern and support. Call today and begin to experience pain relief like you have always wanted.
