H&R Block independent office owner Judy McGraw was taken to court and chose to be represented by a prosecuting attorney. The judge ruled in favor of the plaintiff without representation because Judy McGraw refused to honor the Peace of Mind Guarantee the plaintiff paid for, regarding money Judy's error caused the plaintiff to owe the IRS. Other customers have written articles about their bad service in the Morning Journal. The tax agents at Judy McGraw's offices submitted errors on plaintiff's city, state and federal taxes. Judy McGraw's offices are independently owned franchises and the H&R Block company does NOT hold Judy's staff accountable for their mistakes because they are not H&R Block employees.
