I misunderstood how the scheduling system worked and attempted to cancel an appointment by responding to a text message sent to me by the company. Apparently you're not allowed to respond to these even though they do get received and someone does see them and it's not stated in the text not to respond to the confirmation text. When I was called the day of the appointment (I thought I canceled) I was told that they don't send text messages for confirmation. Which is bizarre because I had received them before. None the less I was willing to pay a cancelation fee but was told I would get a call back. I received a text message instead from a number I don't recognize stating that I had been flagged in their system for multiple no shows.
I have only ever scheduled with this company once before, and I attended the appointment. Thoroughly confused I tried to explain I did cancel by replying to the text message I was sent. I was told that I was lying, had done this multiple times, and that I was again "flagged". When I asked what that meant or who I was speaking to, I received another accusation of having no called no showed as well as having hung up on their office staff and I was refused a name of the person I was speaking with.
I understand how there could be a misunderstanding on my part about booking, but I wanted to figure out how to make sure it didn't happen again as well as attempt to make sure that any fees were addressed.
What I did not do was hang up on anyone, no call no show, and I was never explained what being flagged meant. I have a disability that makes it difficult for me to articulate through written communication so I tried calling to speak with someone instead of text message. I was refused three times and then on the third time suddenly the manager Greg was available to speak. He repeated what was said over text, spoke over me, spoke down to me and was unnecessarily hostile. I want solutions not to fight. Greg wanted to fight it would seem. No thanks
