Haywire is just fantastic! They put a Lollar regular wind in the Neck (bottom strings hold together without distorting noticeably longer than most humbuckers) and a High Wind in the Bridge wired up to '57 specs and Mojo Tone caps (creamy treble, smooth and fat bottom end with softer attack and lots of sustain). I asked for the Haywire SRV in the middle position too. The sound is superb! I am very happy with the total combination 5 way switching and coil tap. I was treated very well by Haywire and really enjoyed my second experience. Rick is a pleasure to work with considering my "fussiness". He is a gentleman. Rick Mariner always was and continues to be very easily accessible to answer any questions I have had during the building process and after I had received it. He went out of his way to listen to my wants, and helped make this a totally unique piece of art. He safely suggested things I was already familiar with instead of new things so I would be happier-he was right. The one-year warranty is great. If I have to send it back he'll cover the shipping wherever I am this year traveling and playing. Rick Mariner at Haywire was always accessible to answer my questions and deal with my impatience. I didn't feel any question I asked was a bad one and felt very much included with photographs of each and every step of the guitar build. I was asked to comment on the progress and if I wanted anything changed as the guitar took shape. I honestly couldn't have asked for more !!
