I have only purchased wood at Brocious Lbr. twice. First of all indoors and out in the yard all people are very nice to work with. Second, I can assure you their 4x4 and 6x6's are far better than the big box stores. I find at the big box stores all of their lumber has large cracks and several of them. I have to usually put 3-6 structural screws in a 6x6x8' just for my benefit to hopefully keep them from cracking more. Decking boards are #2 grade but you will probably pick every one of them. I went to the local big box store just to buy 4 2x4x8 for stair ballasters. I had to go through the hole pile to just get 4 fairly good straight and not twisted. Going out the gate the attendant asked it I had found some nice wood I was looking. I told him after 30 min looking I was glad I only needed 4 pcs. I'm not in anyway connected with Brocious, infact, they probably don't even know me. My aim is to help you find good material, and through the pandemic they had no shortage. I hope this helps someone. I will make the extra drive to get nice lumber at comparable prices. Also, they deliver at a low cost.
