Literally exact same thing as Tina this March except driver, two helpers and no steps. Estimate was ~3k, this guy comes out as subcontracted labor and transporter. 3 hrs of back and forth estimates move to be between $6k and $7k. Tricked my wife in to signing a contract with no bottom line number. We were on the phone with the original company/broker and he told us to tell him to stop and off load the small amount he loaded. He refused to off load without being paid nearly $1300. Cops had to be called to get less than a bedroom of furniture and boxes off his truck and for him to understand it was a civil matter to get paid. Sad thing is we wanted to believe he was being honest. Original broker who our contract was with including the deposit came the next day and the job got done for nearly $5k which was in line with what we thought it would cost.

Bait and switch. Estimate for $2100 meant nothing. He showed up alone to load up and added on and on and on. Shrink wrap that no one asked for, charged for stairs even though it was on estimate as included, wanted cash for double the amount originally. Too much to list. Stay away!
